This section describes the automatic updates preferences.




We will periodically release software updates for Code Rocket if any bugs are fixed or improvements are made. If automatic updates are turned on, you will be notified when updates for the Code Rocket for Eclipse Support Package are released (if one or more Code Rocket views are active inside your IDE).

When updates are available for Code Rocket, you will be prompted to download them now or to be reminded later.

After updates have been downloaded you will be instructed to close Eclipse and install the updates. This can be done at any time.

To install the updates, select Rapid Quality Systems / Code Rocket for Eclipse / Check for Updates from the start menu.

Click OK after the updates have been applied and then restart Eclipse.

Alternatively you can run Check For Updates at any time to manually check if updates are available.

Updates may also be published for the Eclipse plugins from time to time. By default Eclipse will not check for updates automatically, but this can be configured in the preference pages. To turn on automatic updates, select Window / Preferences from the main Eclipse menu.

Select Install/Update / Automatic Updates from the left hand menu and turn on the “Automatically find new updates and notify me” option.

To check for updates manually, select Help / Check for Updates from the main Eclipse menu.
